December 12, 2012

Dear SEWASP Participants:
In preparing for the upcoming season, SEWASP has recently completed purchasing insurance through our parent organization, Disabled Sports USA. As part of that process we are required to institute a new helmet use policy this season. All participants (volunteers and students) must wear a helmet while on-snow.

  • Provide a free helmet for the participant to wear and keep. We have a limited number of helmets in a limited number of sizes (mostly small sizes) to give away.  When they’re gone, they’re gone!
  • Provide a helmet for the participant to wear from SEWASP’s stock of lesson helmets.
  • Rent a helmet from the ski area for the participant to wear.
Thank you for your understanding on this issue and thank you for helping to make SEWASP a safe ski and snowboard school.

Sincerely,
David Henderson
President
SEWASP Board of Directors
